Educational Institutions

Cache Valley is home to Utah State University (USU), a nationally accredited public research university. Both a land-grant and space-grant institution, the University offers 176 bachelor’s degrees, 97 master’s degrees and 38 doctoral degrees among its eight colleges. USU has its own innovation campus and boasts the second oldest undergraduate research program in the nation. It sends more student experiments into space than any other university in the world and its students are accepted into medical and dental programs at a 30% higher rate than the national average. Its Merrill-Cazier library is ranked #1 in the ‘Smart Classroom Category,’ just above Harvard’s, and USU’s Huntsman School of Business is the oldest continuously operating business college in the Western United States. In spite of these advantages, Utah State University is still one of the great public university bargains.

With ample recreational and cultural opportunities at its doorstep, USU offers its more than 16,000 students on its Logan campus the complete educational experience. Ten ski resorts lie within a two-hour drive and six national parks are within a half-day’s drive. With more than 200 student clubs and organizations, personal development opportunity abounds on Utah’s oldest residential campus.

The Utah State Aggies are a D-1 NCAA member athletic program and compete in the Mountain West Conference.

Bridgerland Applied Technology College (BATC) is a nationally accredited vocational institution that offers competency-based skill mastery certificates in both current and emerging occupations. Programs are offered in business, marketing, computers, software, drafting, construction, health, dental, manufacturing, service, transportation, and basic skills and communication. BATC works closely with local industry to continually develop quality curriculum meeting evolving needs. The College has state-of-the-art equipment and facilities allowing it to offer a rich educational experience.
